Game Simulator
Advanced match simulation engine that brings CDL matches to life
How It Works
The simulator uses advanced algorithms to calculate match outcomes based on team ratings, player performance, chemistry, and strategic factors. Each match is a Best-of-5 or Best-of-7 series across Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Overload.
Rating System
Teams are rated based on overall team strength, which combines:
- Individual player ratings (slaying, objective, movement, etc.)
- Team chemistry bonuses
- Mode-specific strengths (Hardpoint, S&D, Overload)
- Strategic advantages from your game plan
Match-Day Variance
Realistic randomness ensures no match is predetermined:
- Players can have "off days" or hot streaks
- Upsets are possible but balanced
- Map-specific factors influence outcomes
- Clutch moments can swing matches
Game Modes
Hardpoint
Objective-based mode where teams compete to control rotating hardpoints. The simulator calculates time on objective, rotations, and slaying power to determine round outcomes. Team coordination and positioning are crucial.
Key Factors
- • Hill time and rotations
- • Slaying power around objectives
- • Team coordination
Player Impact
- • Objective rating matters most
- • Movement for rotations
- • Support players excel here
Search & Destroy
Round-based elimination mode with high stakes. Each round is calculated based on first bloods, positioning, and clutch factor. The simulator tracks round-by-round performance and momentum shifts.
Key Factors
- • First blood advantage
- • Clutch factor in 1v1s
- • Strategic positioning
Player Impact
- • Clutch rating is critical
- • Slaying power for picks
- • Aggression for pressure
Overload
Pick up and deliver a flag to one of the enemy's objectives — the carrier is exposed, the team has to escort. The sim weighs flag-grab timing, escort discipline, and slaying support around the carrier to decide each round.
Key Factors
- • Objective captures
- • Life management
- • Attack/defense balance
Player Impact
- • Objective and slaying balance
- • Support for team plays
- • Movement for positioning
Advanced Mechanics
Elo System
Teams have dynamic Elo ratings that update after each match. Wins against stronger opponents provide more Elo, while losses to weaker teams cost more. This creates realistic power rankings that evolve throughout the season.
Strategy Impact
Your strategic game plans can influence match outcomes. Different strategies provide bonuses in specific situations, making tactical preparation a key part of success. Choose strategies that complement your team's strengths.
Chemistry Bonuses
Teams with good chemistry perform better together. Chemistry is built through time spent playing together and successful performances. Higher chemistry provides rating bonuses during matches.
Host Advantage
The hosting team gets a slight advantage in certain game modes, simulating the real-world benefit of playing on familiar setups or having crowd support. This adds another strategic layer to match preparation.
Tips for Success
Build Balanced Rosters: Don't just stack slayers. Objective players and support roles are crucial for winning matches.
Use Strategy: Set game plans that match your team's strengths and exploit opponent weaknesses.
Monitor Chemistry: Keep your core roster together to build chemistry bonuses over time.
